Update: 25 July

The application has been withdrawn so we have removed the form from this page – there is no longer a live application to be considered.

Thank you, everyone, for your interest.  We’ll contact everyone who already gave their feedback through the form that was on this page should a new application appear in its place.  If you didn’t already complete the form and would still like to hear from us, joining our mailing list is the best way to stay up-to-date.

We received a message from a local resident concerned about a large extension with a pending planning application, and took a look at the plans.

The resident’s concerns were that a semi-detatched house on Deane Croft Road would be extended so substantially as to be near-unrecognisable, building a new two-storey extension at the side and back – up to the boundary and much further back than is usually seen.  It could have the effect of turning turning the neighbouring houses into ‘mid-terrace’ houses.

Although Deane Croft Road is actually within Eastcote rather than Ruislip, such is the concern about setting a precedent that this application  could create if it was given planning permission and constructed, we helped to produce a list of concerns.

Eastcote Residents’ Association are in full agreement and are also sending in their own strong objections to the proposals.

What can you do?

The neighbouring resident has begun an ePetition on the LB Hillingdon website, and requests that everyone who can takes a look at the application, considers if they’d like such a large extension built beside their own house, and responds to the public consultation which closes this Friday.

Sign the petition

You can sign the ePetition on the LBH website: you’ll need to log in to do so, and it’s slightly confusing that the login is not the same as you’d use to log into the website to order recycling bags or garden waste subscriptions – it’s a different system.

File your own objection

We have made a form below, which you can use quickly and easily to submit your feedback to the consultation.  If you prefer, you can send your comments directly to LBH from their website.  The two forms ask the same details, but ours is prefilled in with suggested reasons for objection…
